We first met Jennifer Halm at an open house 4 or 5 years ago as we began our house search to downsize. We were immediately struck by her calm competence and expertise. She was invaluable as we prepared our house to put on the market and once it was listed we had three offers in less than a week and quickly sold over asking price. She has been a professional but friendly, as well as calming and reassuring presence as she guided us through the very stressful process of buying a new home and selling our home. We started our home search not really knowing anyone in Great Falls, VA. After some digging and a conversation with Jennifer, it was obvious she really knew the idiosyncrasies of the area, which was exactly what we were looking for. She was incredibly patient with us along the way and worked harder than we expected. She was always responsive, knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual whether it was a phone call or a showing in person or via FaceTime. She is very familiar with the DMV area with years of experience and was instrumental in our success finding a home. We were first time home buyers looking in the Northern VA area (Alexandria, Falls Church, Vienna, Annandale, Springfield). We immediately went with Jennifer after interviewing her and she exceeded our expectations. The home buying process for us went very quickly, but we never felt rushed or pressured by her to pull the trigger on any property. She was extremely helpful in pointing things out to us when narrowing our search. We were able to narrow our search quickly and eliminate properties we were initially very interested in before wasting precious time with a walkthrough due to dealbreakers that were obvious to her but not so obvious to us until pointed out. This was also extremely helpful in walkthroughs where she pointed out major issues that we wouldn’t have noticed, preventing us from making a choice that we would have certainly regretted. It made us ultimately super confident to eagerly put down an offer when we did find the home that we did fall in love with. She was also very helpful throughout the closing process in taking care of all of the details without any burden on us. Everything went off without a hitch and immediately, well before any deadlines in our contracts. She put us in touch with a particular inspector that she recommends for 1st time home buyers. This aspect was extremely helpful! He walked us through every part of a very thorough inspection in which we learned a TON about our future house (basically a short course on home care that we desperately needed). Based on a lot of our friends who have been through the house buying process in this area and have had less than stellar experiences with their realtors, we know how important having a great realtor is to the house buying process. We couldn’t recommend Jennifer more! We look back and realize how freaking easy and stress-free our house buying experience was when all we have heard from others is how awful the process is. We look forward to working with her in the future!

We interviewed several realtors and connected with Jennifer from the start. She's engaged, responsive, and has a wealth of experience which helped make the process smooth and efficient. Most importantly, she is willing to go the extra mile for each unique situation. We relocated out of state prior to being under contract and Jennifer kept a close eye on the house, going over after every showing to make sure the house was locked, watered flowers, coordinated repairs, etc. Highly recommend!
